About this challenge

The Via Alta (or "High Route") trails are a collection of high-altitude trekking routes across Europe, most famously in Switzerland and Italy. These multi-day hikes traverse alpine ridges, remote valleys, and rugged passes, often staying above 2,000 meters. Designed for experienced hikers, Via Alta routes offer dramatic landscapes, challenging terrain, and unforgettable views of the Alps.
