Jamaica Pond

Boston, Massachusetts

About this hike

Jamaica Pond is one of Boston’s most beloved natural features, offering a 1.5-mile walking loop around its glacial lake. Framed by trees and gentle slopes, the pond is a favorite for walking, jogging, fishing, and paddle boating. It’s the largest body of freshwater in the Emerald Necklace and a central part of Frederick Law Olmsted’s design.
