Challenge
Tairyuji
四国中央市, Ehime, Japan
About this hike
Tairyuji sits high on Shashinzan in Tokushima and is often called the “Western Mount Koya.” Kobo Daishi once trained here, making it one of the most sacred spots of the pilgrimage. The hike is long and steep, about 12 km and 5–6 hours. We recommend this hike for its panoramic views and strong spiritual atmosphere.
