Aobamba is a lush valley along the Salkantay Trek, surrounded by misty mountains and flowing rivers. The area is rich in tropical vegetation and offers a transition from high-altitude landscapes to warm jungle terrain. Hikers pass through this region on their way to La Playa Sahuyaco and Machu Picchu.
