Trient to Champex-Lac

About this hike

This is one of the most challenging days. The route over the Fenêtre d’Arpette climbs to 2,665 m (8,740 ft). The ascent is steep and rocky, with glacier views along the way. The descent is just as demanding, but it ends at Champex-Lac, a peaceful lake village known as “Little Canada” for its forests and mountain setting.
