Tabeguache Peak
Poncha Springs, CO
About this hike
Often paired with Mount Shavano, Tabeguache Peak is a quieter summit with expansive views and a wild alpine feel. The name (pronounced "TAB-uh-wash") comes from the Ute word for "People of Sun Mountain." The trail is steep and rugged, with significant elevation gain when done as a combo hike.
