About this hike
Mount Elbert is the highest peak in Colorado and the second-highest in the contiguous United States. Despite its towering elevation, the standard route is considered one of the easier 14er ascents. The broad summit offers sweeping views of the Sawatch Range and is a favorite goal for first-time peak-baggers.
