About this hike
Stage 7 provides respite, following the Dranse de Ferret river through storybook hamlets of wooden raccards hung with geraniums. After the forested Bovine climb, the trail crests into Champex‑Lac, a mirror‑calm alpine lake nicknamed “the little Canadian Rockies” and flanked by cafés serving Valaisan raclette.
