Overview
This route follows the walked pilgrimage toward Mount Tomorr in central Albania. It begins beneath the walls of Berat's inhabited castle, climbs the Osum valley through the town of Çorovodë, and finishes at the türbe (tomb-shrine) of Abaz Aliu on the high ridge of Tomorr, at roughly 2,370 m — the point pilgrims reach at the end of August.
Who it is for
It is for walkers who want a route with meaning as well as height: a sacred mountain, a living pilgrimage, and villages where the walk is guided by the people who keep it. This is a guided journey, not a marked self-guided trail.
How this route was placed
This is an early route, published with the stops we have verified against public map data (Berat Castle, Çorovodë, and the türbe of Abaz Aliu). Two further stops on the upper mountain — the Kulmak tekke and the summit of Maja e Tomorit — are still being confirmed on the ground before they are added. Local guide names for each stage are being arranged and will appear as they are confirmed.
