This is the most demanding and dramatic day of the journey. The Fimmvörðuháls Trail climbs steeply through volcanic landscapes, snowfields, and ridgelines like the Cat’s Spine. At nearly 3,000 feet of ascent, the day tests both body and mind, but the reward is unforgettable—descending alongside 20+ waterfalls to the iconic Skógafoss. Few treks end with such a breathtaking finale.
