Hanakapi’ai to Hanakoa

About this hike

This more difficult stretch rises steeply out of Hanakapi’ai and navigates narrow paths through the forested Hono o Na Pali reserve. Shelters at Hanakoa offer rest, but no beach access. A short, slippery side trail leads to Hanakoa Falls. Permits are required from this point onward.
